Tips/FAQs


Arrive Early:

At the YMCA and CHB clubs you can request a locker for your belongings. You can also store your things in the designated areas; away from your mat. Please bring your water and towel to your mat and relax for a few minutes before class.

Cell Phones:

We all respect and understand the importance of being on call; from motherhood to physician. Use your judgment and be respectful if you need to answer a page.

Food & Water:

Come to class hydrated and feel free to sip water during class; please no open or glass containers. Be sure to drink plenty of water after class. Eat at least 2 hours before class to avoid discomfort.

What to Wear:

Remove your shoes and socks when on your yoga mat. Wear comfortable exercise clothing that will not overheat or bind. You are going to sweat; avoid perfumes, make-up, and jewelry.

Information:

Teachers are available before class. Let us know if you are practicing with an injury so we can be respectful of your needs. We are a hands-on teaching staff!

Childcare:

Check the schedule or call the clubs to see if childcare is available for your class. Childcare at the CHB Clubs is also available for non-members!

Locker Rooms

Locker room facilities; shower, locker, sauna, steam room is available to all participants of the yoga program.

Early Out?

If you need to leave yoga class early, please do it before Savasana begins and the lights go out. This insures your safe exit and respects others' rest time.
